BOSTON, Mass. – Through two games of the 2016 women's soccer season, Wentworth Institute of Technology has not allowed a goal and sophomore keeper Micaela Robinson (Goshen, N.Y.) has been a key reason for this success. Her efforts have earned her Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors for games played from September 1-4.
Robinson helped the Leopards post back-to-back shutouts as the Black & Gold defeated Albertus Magnus and UMass Dartmouth by identical 3-0 scores. In each of those games, she needed to make just two saves to help keep the opponents off the scoreboard.
Through 24 career contests (23 starts), Robinson has a 17-3-2 record with a 0.49 goals against average and eight shutouts.
Wentworth travels to Emmanuel on Tuesday night.
