BOSTON, Mass. – After posting seven points in a pair of victories last week, junior forward Emily Richard (Fremont, N.H.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Richard earns the honor for games played from Oct. 4-10.
Richard helped the Leopards to a pair of victories last week as the Black & Gold extended their win streak to five games and their unbeaten streak to six contests (5-0-1). In a 4-1 win over UMass Boston, Richard recorded a pair of assists and finished the week with a two goal, one-assist effort in a 3-0 win over Nichols, assisting on the game-winning goal in the first half and scoring two goals in the second half.
In the last three games Richard has three goals and five assists for 11 points and, on the season, she has four goals and 10 assists for 18 points. She is presently first in the conference in assists and tied for the conference lead in points.
Wentworth (9-2-2, 4-0-1 CCC) hosts Framingham State in a non-conference contest on Wednesday night.
