Poratti, McKenna & Donahue Named to All-Conference Team

BOSTON, Mass. – A day before the playoff season officially begins, the Commonwealth Coast Conference announced its 2019 Women's Soccer All-Conference awards, naming Jess Poratti (Essex Junction, Vt.), Julie McKenna, and Molly Donahue (Quincy, Mass.) to the list.

Wentworth leading goal-scorer Poratti earned a spot on the second team, and enters tomorrow's quarterfinal match with eight goals, three assists, and 19 points this season. Three of those goals were game-winners, one which came in conference play at Nichols, while her goal total ranks fifth among conference stat leaders. Poratti earns all-conference honors for the second straight season and first honors on the second team.

Joining Poratti on the second team for the first time in her career is classmate Julie McKenna, who played a key defensive roll for the Leopards this season. McKenna started on the back line in 17 games for Wentworth, and also added an assist on the year in the Leopards' 4-3 win over Nichols. McKenna backstopped Wentworth to four shutouts this year, including two clean sheets against league opponents.

Donahue took home the third straight all-conference nod of her career, starting in all 19 games for the Black & Gold. She controlled the midfield and added three goals, two assists and eight points overall, with one game-winner in a single-goal non-conference victory over Emmanuel. Two of her goals came in league action, including the opening goal against Roger Williams, who the Leopards will face tomorrow in the CCC quarterfinals.

Kickoff is slated for 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning in Bristol, R.I. for the postseason matchup.
