  • The Golden Bears kept applying pressure, however, Heaton made five saves over the remainder of the of the first half, keeping the game tied at 1-all. Heaton made a save early in the second half before junior Mckenzie Collins (Seymour, Conn.) and sophomore Jenny Montville (Plainville, Mass.) each had shot attempts for the Black & Gold.
  • Western New England took the lead for good at the 71:12 mark when sophomore Lindsey Reidy (Chicopee, Mass.) scored on an assist from freshman Gabby Sansone (Guilford, Conn.).
