Three Program Records Help Women's Outdoor Track & Field Open 2025 Campaign
Leopards set new marks int he 5,000M, 10,000M, and high jump in second season opener

MEDFORD, Mass. – Three program records helped the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's outdoor track & field team to a 12th-place finish, kicking off the season at the Tufts Snowflake Invitational.
The Leopards scored 18.5 points, with their 12th-place finish coming among 20 schools earning at least one point.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Program records were set in the 5,000 meter run with Summer Daniels running a time of 20:52.10, the 10,000 meter run where Emma Schaumloffel ran a time of 41:10.38, and Lily Carlson in the high jump who had a top mark of 1.46M.
- Schaumloffel's time in the 10,000 meter run, placed her seventh which scored two points for the Leopards, while Santos picked up five points with a fourth-place finish in the 100M Hurdles (17.74). Additionally, Schaumloffel's time was also a Division III New England qualifying mark.
- Carlson finished tied for eighth in the high jump, earning 2.5 points. In the triple jump, Jordan Bennett placed eighth (one point) with a top jump of 8.93M.
- Sasha Feron earned two points with a seventh-place finish (9.88M) in the shot put.
- The Black & Gold picked up six points in the javelin as Santos placed fifth (four points) with a top throw of 28.79M and Ashley Quintal was seventh (two points) with a top throw of 28.19M.
