SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team saw the most successful season in program history come to an end as the Leopards were defeated by Western New England, 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-15). The Leopards were eliminated from Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament contention with a combination of the loss and a 3-2 win by Eastern Nazarene over Gordon.

Freshman Stephanie Nihan (Dracut, Mass.) led the way with six kills while sophomore Hannah Bailey (Plymouth, Mass.) and freshman Sheena Dignean (Constantia, N.Y.) chipped in with four kills apiece.

Junior Sam Curran (Quincy, Mass.) had eight digs while Bailey added seven and Nihan, five. Junior Shannon Ponce (San Jose, Calif.) had 16 assists, which moves her into second place on Wentworth's all-time list with 1,477.
