SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Freshman outside hitter Sydney Meyers (Arnold, Md.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for matches played the week of September 29-October 5.

In a 2-0 week for the Leopards, Meyers averaged 3.43 kills per set and hit .404 in seven sets. She had a career-high 13 kills and made just one error on 27 swings in a 3-0 win over Eastern Nazarene and followed that up with an 11 kill, two-ace performance in a 3-1 win over Anna Maria.

Meyers has played in all 61 sets over 17 matches for the 9-8 Leopards and is averaging 2.05 kills, 0.38 aces, and 1.85 digs per set.

Wentworth hosts CCC foe Endicott on Tuesday night.
