WORCESTER, Mass. – Despite two double-double performances from juniors Leah Rogoz (Woodridge, Ill.) and Claire Quick (Mission Viejo, Calif.), the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team dropped a tight match to Worcester Polytechnic Institute on Tuesday evening.

The Engineers came from behind in the second and third sets for the 3-0 victory, and extend their untouched season to 4-0, while the Leopards suffer their first loss of the year and fall to 2-1.

Rogoz led the Leopards with .306 hitting on 14 kills and just three errors on 36 attempts. Rogoz additionally recorded 14 digs for her first double-double of the year, joined by Quick's 11 kills and 15 digs. Classmates Katie Clouse (Hudson Falls, N.Y.) and Maddy Tomastik (Portland, Ore.) dished out 17 assists each, while junior libero Lexie Cambray (Bedford, N.H.) had a team-best 16 digs. The Leopards recorded 10 blocks as a team – led by sophomore Makenna Salsbury (Bel Air, Md.) with three.

WPI sophomore Sarah Kwatinetz (Seattle, Wash.) was the lone Engineer to reach double-digit kills with 11, while junior Abbie Gilbert (Hopkinton, Mass.) followed with seven kills. The Engineers had a strong defensive performance, as three players registered 10 or more digs, led by senior Victoria Nassar (Atkinson, N.H.) with a match-best 21. Nassar also contributed to WPI's 18 team blocks with five of her own, while freshman Lilly Taylor (Weymouth, Mass.) owned a full workload as WPI's setter with 32 assists.
