Quick, Chapman Collect Weekly Conference Honors

Boston, Mass. – Senior Claire Quick (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and freshman Jordan Chapman (Clearwater, Fla.) took home Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly awards for the Wentworth women's volleyball team, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Chapman remains the league's only rookie of the week so far, earning the honor for the third time this season, while Quick earns player of the week honors. Both standouts helped the Leopards to a 2-1 record last week.  

Quick was a force on both offense and defense for the Black & Gold, and averaged 3.18 kills per set and 3.64 digs per set. She booked a double-double in two of three matches played, highlighted by 18 kills and 27 digs in the Leopards' lone loss of the week to Keene State. Quick swung at .245 throughout the week, and additionally added four assists, two aces, and four blocks alongside 35 kills and 40 digs.

Chapman continues to build on her strong foundation as a Leopard, and averaged 6.77 assists per set in the 2-1 showing for Wentworth. After posting 18 assists in a 3-0 sweep over Lasell, she set a new career and school record of 33 assists in a five-set triumph over WPI. Chapman continued to climb the ladder and again broke her record in the Leopards' final match of the week with an impressive 37 assists in a five-set battle against Keene State. In both matches against the Engineers and the Owls, Chapman also booked 11 and 12 digs, respectively, contributing to the third and fourth double-double of her freshman campaign.

Wentworth welcomes the Hawks of Roger Williams University on Wednesday night for a crucial conference battle inside Tansey Gym. The 7:00 p.m. match time will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2018 conference finals, where the Leopards were crowned as champions.
