BOSTON, Mass. – For the fifth consecutive year, members of
the Wentworth Institute of Technology Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee (SAAC) have collected items to be sent to the men and
women of the United States military who are stationed overseas.
Approximately 200 pounds of items were collected from students,
faculty, and staff by way of a collection area inside the Athletic
Office during the month of November. Additionally, on Sunday,
November 13, members of SAAC went through Wentworth’s
residence halls to collect items from students. The committee
collected an assortment of items this year, such as gum, beef
jerky, Pringles, PopTarts, deodorant, hand lotion, and hand
sanitizer.
Items collected were brought to a local distribution center and
will be sent to members of the military who are stationed in
Afghanistan.
