In The Community: Men's Hockey Raises over $17,000 in Most Successful St. Baldrick's Fundraiser

BOSTON, Mass. –  With each year comes new goals within the Wentworth men's hockey team; on the ice, and in the community at the annual St. Baldrick's Fundraiser at the Greatest Bar in Boston.

Last year, the Leopards set their goal at $10,000 after raising $6,000 at the previous event. The team surpassed that goal, raising a grand total of $10,897.

This year, including cash donations with over 40 participants, the event raised $17,100 in the most successful Wentworth men's hockey St. Baldrick's fundraiser to date. All proceeds will go directly to the St. Baldrick's childhood cancer research centers in hopes to end the fight against childhood cancer. Several Leopards shaved their heads in support of childhood cancer research, including Director of Athletics Cheryl Aaron and Faculty Athletic Representative Jack Duggan.

Special thanks to the event organizers Liam McKay, Adam Tracey, Jake Hallisey, and Emile Levesque for putting on such a successful event. We look forward to breaking more goals, and setting more records next year!
