Hawks Shut Out Women's Lacrosse in CCC Quarterfinal

BRISTOL, R.I. – The Wentworth women's lacrosse team shut the doors on its most successful season on Saturday Night, as the Hawks of Roger Williams move on to the CCC Semifinals after a 19-0 win at Bayside Field.

Wentworth finishes the year at 9-7, while Roger Williams improves to 12-5, and will host UNE for the next round of the tournament.

Roger Williams held a 31-11 advantage in shots and hit running time with 7:20 left to go in the first half. Six Hawks had multi-goal games, led by four goals from Ashley Warren, three of which came in the first half.

Lydia Nelson stopped all seven shots on goal from the Leopards to secure her second straight shut out.

Senior Brooke Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) capped her career as the game's ground ball leader with four, which gives her 174 over four years played. Paradis leaves her mark in the Wentworth women's lacrosse record books as all-time leader in goals, assists, points, ground balls, and draw controls.

Sophomore Lily Kuhns (Gloucester, Mass.) closes her sophomore campaign in net at 7-6 with seven saves against the Hawks.
