BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Morgan Miller (Schenectady, N.Y.) and freshman Sidney Brogan (Los Angeles, Calif.) combined to record three goals and three assists to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's soccer team claim its third straight victory with a 5-1 win over Emmanuel.

With the win the Leopards remain undefeated at 3-0 while the Saints slip to 0-2 on the season.

At the 9:59 mark, Brogan scored off a feed from Miller. Senior Michelle Murphy (West Islip, N.Y.) had set the opportunity up when she served a corner into the box. The ball was deflected out to Miller who fed Brogan for her second of the season. Brogan assisted on what would be the game-winning goal at 22:38 when she sent a pass to sophomore Madyson Reno (Simi Valley, Calif.) who netted her first of the season.

Wentworth continued to pressure Emmanuel throughout the remainder of the first half but would not find the back of the next before the half ended. The Black & Gold had an 11-1 shot advantage through the first 45 minutes.

Early in the second half the hosts cut the lead to 2-1 when senior Maggie Carey (Swampscott, Mass.) created a turnover and scored the first goal against Wentworth of the season. However, just 1:40 later, Miller set up Brogan for her second marker of the game to give Wentworth a 3-1 lead.

At 76:15, Miller headed in a feed from Brogan to make it a 4-1 game and freshman Shannon Sturtz (Littleton, Mass.) netted her first collegiate marker with 8:07 left.

Sophomore Micaela Robinson (Goshen, N.Y.) picked up the win, making one save in the first half. Classmate Rachel Schaeffer (Lumberton, N.J.) made one save in the second half. Emmanuel junior Victoria LaRoche (Hudson, Mass.) made 13 saves in just under 81 minutes of action. Freshman Alexis Gawron (South Hadley, Mass.) allowed one goal in just over nine minutes of work. Wentworth had a 23-8 edge in shots and an 8-3 advantage on corner kicks.

The Leopards open Commonwealth Coast Conference play on Saturday at Curry.
