Poratti Takes Home Offensive Player of the Week Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – After scoring two crucial goals in an overtime victory at Western Connecticut, senior Jess Poratti (Essex Junction, Vt.) has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference player of the week as announced on Monday afternoon.

Poratti takes home the first weekly honor for the women's soccer program since November of 2016.

In a perfect 2-0 week for Wentworth, Poratti started in both matches and became the offensive hero against the Colonials of Western Connecticut. In the 15th minute, Poratti scored the 1-1 equalizer after the Leopards trailed by a single goal early on in the game, which ultimately forced overtime in Danbury. Just six minutes into OT, Poratti netted the game-winner, the second of her career.

The Black & Gold look to extend their win streak when they head across town to Emerson tomorrow evening.
