Commonwealth Coast Conference Announces Return to Play Update

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Commonwealth Coast Conference Board of Directors is pleased to announce its intention to resume full conference and championship competition beginning in the fall of 2021-22.

Based on current circumstances, the conference and its members are confident about the possibility of a safe return to competition. However, the membership will continue to monitor the situation and may adjust its protocols based on the guidance from medical professionals at the local, state, and federal level.

While the past 15 months have presented a number of challenges, our student-athletes have shown an extraordinary level of resilience and we look forward to providing them a full competitive experience as we move forward into a new school year.

Wentworth is set to open the 2021-22 fall season with three home contests on Wednesday, September 1, as the women's soccer team will host Lesley at 11:00 am, the men's soccer team will host Emmanuel at 2:00 pm, and the women's volleyball team will host Simmons at 7:00 pm. That same day, the women's tennis team will travel to Worcester State. Cross country will open the fall season on Friday, September 3, at the Wellesley College Invitational, while golf and rowing will commence their seasons shortly thereafter.
