BOSTON, Mass. – Men's volleyball senior Connor Adams (Budd Lake, N.J.) and junior Erin Hancock (Holden, Mass.) of the softball team were named Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards of the Week.

Adams played in two matches for the Leopards last week, as the men's volleyball team went 2-0 and won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship to advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year. He finished the week with 73 assists, four blocks, five digs, two aces and a pair of kills. Men's volleyball competes against St. John Fisher College in the first round of the NCAA tournament Friday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Hancock pitched twice for Wentworth last weekend, as the softball team went 4-0 to improve to 16-8 on the season. The junior went 2-0 this past week, picking up a pair of complete game shutouts against Gordon College and Nichols College. She allowed eight hits in the two games, while giving up two earned runs while striking out six, and collecting three hits at the plate as well. Softball is back on the field Tuesday, April 12, as the Leopards host a non-conference doubleheader against Fisher College at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
