Wentworth to Participate in NCAA Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology Athletic Department is pleased to participate in the NCAA's Fifth Annual Diversity and Inclusion Social Media Campaign this week.

The campaign, scheduled for October 18-20, is a great opportunity for student-athletes, administrators, coaches and fans across the country to use their platform to create a dialogue surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and to communicate the need for and importance of developing inclusive environments to enhance the student-athlete experience.

Coordinated by the NCAA office of inclusion, in partnership with the NCAA Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee and the national Student-Athlete Advisory Committees, this campaign focuses on one theme in each of the three days:

Day 1 (Tuesday, Oct. 18): "Exploring My Identities": exploring student-athletes' intersectional identities, perspectives and experiences. (Twitter | Instagram)
Day 2 (Wednesday, Oct. 19): "Allyship is…": defining and highlighting personal examples of allyship to cultivate communities of belonging within athletics. (Twitter | Instagram)
Day 3 (Thursday, Oct. 20): "Strength in Unity": outlining collective and institutional action steps for fostering belonging and inclusive excellence. (Twitter | Instagram)

Additionally, we will conclude the week by sharing our beliefs as a department on Friday, Oct. 20 (Twitter | Instagram).
