BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Jack Schaake (Hampton, N.H.) of men's basketball and senior Colleen Sullivan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) of track and field have been named Leopards of the Week for the week of January 23-29.
In a 2-0 week for the Leopards, Schaake averaged 14 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists between two wins over Western New England, who suffered their first conference loss to the Black & Gold on January 24, and Suffolk. The senior notched a double-double over the Golden Bears, leading the team with 17 points and 11 rebounds. He also chipped in two steals and a block in the win and guided the Leopards to an 11-8 record by the conclusion of the week.
Competing in the John Thomas Invitational at Boston University on January 28, Sullivan pinned a new program record with her efforts in the 500M. Her time of 1:25.16 set a new program record, besting her own previous record held at 1:25.20. Sullivan's record-breaking tally gave her an 18th place finish in the event.
