Zach Carlone was named Wentworth’s Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in September, 2022.

Carlone joined the Leopards from Shore Publishing, LLC, in Connecticut, where he served as a Sports Reporter since January, 2022. With the company, Carlone was responsible for reporting and writing stories on high school sports for the Guilford Courier, North Haven Courier, and Harbor News newspapers and digital publications. Additionally, Carlone was tasked with reporting on Little League baseball and softball teams for the respective regions throughout the summer season.

Prior to joining Shore Publishing, Carlone spent a year as a writer for Black N' Gold Productions LLC covering the Boston Bruins. With the multi-media production company, Carlone wrote breaking news and op-ed pieces covering Boston's NHL franchise.

As an undergraduate, Carlone did a pair of internships in both the American International College and Springfield College Athletic Communications Offices. At AIC in 2019, he assisted the gameday crew by tracking statistics, monitoring cameras, and supporting the livestream feeds for fall and winter contests. For his internship at Springfield in 2020, Carlone facilitated operations for the 'Day in History' project, a social media campaign that highlighted the last 50 years of Pride athletics. In his time at Springfield, Carlone also co-hosted an NHL-talk radio show out of the on-campus station, 89.9 FM The Birthplace, for just under two years.

A 2021 graduate of Springfield College with a Bachelor's degree in Communications/Sports Journalism and a minor in English, Carlone was a two-year member of the Springfield College club ice hockey team where he helped the program win its second-straight NECHA Colonial Conference Championship in 2018 and earn a bid into the ACHA Men's Division 3 Atlantic Regional Tournament for the first time in program history in 2019.

In his role as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, Carlone assists Senior Associate Director of Athletics/Director of Athletic Communications Bill Gorman with publicity for all 19 of the Leopards' teams, compiling and maintaining statistics and records, writing press releases and feature stories, creating content for the department's social media channels, and providing updates to the Wentworth Athletics website. He also focuses on promoting and implementing new initiatives within the athletic communications office.
