Men's Basketball Earns NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Seven Named to the Honors Court

BOSTON, Mass. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) recently announced its 10th annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2021-22 season. This marks the fourth time in the last five seasons the Leopards have been recognized for their work in the classroom after meeting the minimum requirement.

In addition to the team earning an NABC Team Excellence Award, the Black & Gold had a program-record seven student-athletes named to the NABC Honors Court. Senior Trey Carrier (Wilton, N.H.), junior Tommy Dooling (Mansfield, Mass.), junior Thomas Hacker (Averill Park, N.Y.), senior Kyle Henseler (Coventry, R.I.), junior Conor Rubenskas (Bridgewater, Mass.), junior Jack Schaake (Hampton, N.H.), and junior Sam Swift (Arlington, Mass.) each finished the 2021-22 academic year with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher.
