BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team shot its second straight round of 320 and captured its second straight invitational as the Leopards won the Emmanuel College Invitational which was played at the par 70 George Wright Golf Course in Boston's Franklin Park.
Wentworth's 320 was eight strokes better that Suffolk, which finished with a 328, followed by Mitchell (340) and the host Saints (375).
Senior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) tied for medalist honors as he finished plus-seven (77). Junior Brian Bak (South Hadley, Mass.) finished a stroke behind with a 78. Sophomore Sean L'Italien (Pembroke, Mass.) carded an 82, followed by classmate Matthew Pleshaw (Franklin, Mass.) who shot 83. Junior Manoli Gammaitoni (Auburn, Maine), scored a 92 in his first collegiate match.
The Leopards are idle until the Westfield State Invitational on September 26.
