BOSTON, Mass. – Junior Albert Duart (Lleida, Spain) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Golfer of the Week. Duart earns the honor for matches played from September 27-October 3.
Duart recorded his first career medalist honor when he shot a three-over 75 in a dual match against Eastern Nazarene, won by the Leopards (326-370). He shot even par on the back nine, recording two of his three birdies on the day during this stretch. He finished six strokes ahead of his closest competitor.
In three events this season, Duart now has a pair of top-two finishes as he was second (+6, 78) at the season-opening Saints Invitational. On the season he has a stroke average of 80.33.
Wentworth is at the Emmanuel Invitational on Tuesday, October 5.
