BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team opened the 2023-24 campaign with a dual match against Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Suffolk. Using the top three scoring golfers, the Rams defeated the Leopards, 319-339.
Freshman Ryan Vincent (Carver, Mass.) carded an 82 in his collegiate debut, tying him for Wentworth's medalist along with junior Nico Alonso (Madrid, Spain). Both student-athletes tied for fourth among the 12 players in the match.
Senior Dan Clapp (Rehoboth, Mass.) shot an 86, while junior Luke Boccelli (Pepperell, Mass.) and freshman Ethan Lackner (Brooklyn, Conn.) each finished with an 89. Freshman Pablo Artero (Aragon, Spain) carded a 92.
Wentworth is back in action on Thursday (September 7) at the Mitchell Invitational.
