Golf Finishes Fourth at Warrior Invitational

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team had its final tune up before competing at regional and conference championships as the Leopards competed at the Warrior Invitational, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University.

In the eight-team field, Wentworth tied for fourth with a 341. The Leopards tied with Eastern Connecticut's "B" team, with both finishing 19 strokes behind the Warriors' "A" Team.

Junior Nico Alonso (Madrid, Spain) was Wentworth's medalist, finishing eighth with an 82. Freshman Pablo Artero (Aragón, Spain) finished tied for 12th with an 84. Senior Dan Clapp (Rehoboth, Mass.) tied for 20th, carding an 87, while freshman Ethan Lackner (Brooklyn, Conn.) rounded out the Black & Gold's scoring golfers with an 88, which tied him for 26th.

Freshman Ryan Vincent (Carver, Mass.) finished 33rd with a 93.

Wentworth will compete at the NEIGA Championship this weekend in Brewster, Mass.
