Both teams had chances throughout the period, however, Kozic and sophomore Will Oliver made five and nine saves, respectively, to keep it a scoreless contest.
  • At the 7:53 mark of the period, the Polar Bears took a 1-0 lead with freshman Patrick Fitzgerald (Chevy Chase, Md.) scoring from freshman Will Van Der Veen (Duxbury, Mass.) and freshman Kyle Jarosz (Longmeadow, Mass.). Wentworth peppered Kozic with multiple shots, including nine in a span of 2:04.
  • With just three seconds left in the period, the Leopards broke the ice, scoring a power-play goal as Lapshanski scored from freshman Chris Tamer (Whitmore Lake, Mich.). Tamer took a shot which went wide of the cage with Lapshanski nabbing the puck off the rebound and putting it home. Wentworth had a 24-12 shot advantage in the period.
  • Bowdoin took a 2-1 lead at the 12:40 mark of the third on a goal from sophomore Chris Brown (Worcester, Mass.) scored from freshman Luke Wheeler (Goldon, Colo.) and went ahead, 3-1, at the 14:17 mark when Wheeler scored from Brown and junior Ethan Kimball (Holden, Mass.).
  • Junior Sam Milnes (Middletown, R.I.) kept a put in the zone and slid a pass to senior Joey O'Leary (Boston, Mass.), who pulled the Back & Gold with one at 14:37. At the 16:08 mark, Milnes and O'Leary would assist on Lapshanski's second of the contest, which tied the game.
  • A late penalty on Wentworth put Bowdoin on a power play and during the man advantage, the Polar Bears had two shots saves by Oliver and, with 58 seconds left, nearly won the game when a shot hit the post.
  • Both teams had chances in the extra fame as junior Kevin Obssuth (Chester, N.J.) went in alone early in the session and Milnes had a bit with just under two minutes left. Bowdoin had a 4-3 shot advantage in overtime.
