  • The Leopards got on the board just over five minutes after Bonfield's tally as sophomore Luke Jeffries (Kanata, Ont.) notched his first goal of the season in his second game of the year. Jeffries' goal, assisted by freshmen Ian Worthley (Saugus, Mass.) and Hunter Wilson (Westport, Conn.), knotted the score at one.
  • With 1:05 left in the first, sophomore Luk Jirousek (Whitehorse, Yukon) found the back of the net to give the Cardinals a 2-1 advantage heading into the second period.
  • Just past the midway mark of the second, freshman Nolan Lowe (Toronto, Ont.) scored his third career goal to even the score at 2-2.
  • With 23 seconds remaining in the second, Plattsburgh State's leading scorer, junior Bennett Stockdale (Ottawa, Ont.), ripped the twine of the net, giving the Cardinals a 3-2 advantage heading into the third period.
  • Plattsburgh State padded their one goal cushion with a goal from senior Brendan Young (Lefroy, Ont.) just over 12 minutes into the final period, making the score 4-2.
  • Young cashed in on an empty net with just over three minutes remaining in the game, giving himself two goals in the contest and solidifying a 5-2 win for the Cardinals.
