EAST BOSTON, Mass. – A goaltending duel between freshman Jack McGovern (Ancaster, Ont.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team and senior Cal Wilcox (Pomfret, Conn.) of the Suffolk Rams led to overtime play, with the Rams coming out on top in a conference matchup by a 2-1 score thanks to a tally by junior Kyle Valiquette (Monroe, N.C.) in the extra frame.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Suffolk got on the board 13:22 into the evening when junior Ryan Harrigan (Scituate, Mass.) scored his third goal of the season with a two-man advantage, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.
- A quiet second period featured even, scoreless play as the Rams outshot the Leopards 12-9. McGovern stopped all 12 for the Black & Gold, while Wilcox stopped nine.
- The Leopards knotted the score as the team's leading scorer, sophomore Jacob Shankar (Johnstown, Ont.), scored just over five minutes into the third period. Senior captain Sam Milnes (Middletown, R.I.) notched an assist on the goal in his first game since returning from injury along with senior Kasey O'Brien (Stoneham, Mass.).
- The game made its way to overtime as the score was tied at 1-1. The Rams maintained much of possession in the extra frame and capitalized on a two-on-zero scoring chance when freshman Ryan Webb (Rockport, Mass.) fed Valiquette for the game-winning goal just under three minutes into overtime.
