Three Men's Lacrosse Players Earn Weekly CCC Awards

BIDDEFORD, Maine – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team picked up a trio of awards Monday, as graduate student Danny Bartosiewicz (North Grafton, Mass.), freshman Jared Hiller (North Andover, Mass.), and sophomore Connor Charron (Tewksbury, Mass.) all won Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week awards. Bartosiewicz won Defensive Player of the Week, Hiller took Rookie of the Week, and Charron, for the second consecutive week, took the Specialist of the Week award.

The Leopards went 2-0 on the week to improve to 4-3 overall on the season. Bartosiewicz led the way defensively with 10 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers in the two contests, while Hiller scored five goals while adding two assists and seven groundballs. Charron went 26-of-39 in the faceoff circle (67 percent), while winning 18 ground balls for Wentworth.

The Leopards are back on the field Saturday, March 26, when they kick off conference play with a 3:00 p.m. home matchup against Nichols College.
