Bartosiewicz and D'Avolio to Play in NEILA East-West All-Star Game

BOSTON, Mass. – The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) announced the rosters for the 2022 East-West All-Star Game. The game will take place Friday, June 3 at 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Stadium, on the campus of Providence College.

The two teams will consist of 39 players from all three divisions of college athletics, and will include graduate student Danny Bartosiewicz (North Grafton, Mass.) and senior Anthony D'Avolio (Reading, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team. Bartosiewicz and D'Avolio become the 10th and 11th players in program history to participate in the game.

Bartosiewicz, who was named first-team all-conference in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) in 2022, finished second on the team and sixth in the conference with 79 ground balls, while leading the CCC with 38 caused turnovers, setting career bests in both categories.

D'Avolio tied his career high with 16 caused turnovers this season, while also picking up 28 ground balls and recording one assist.

All players and coaches were nominated by the head coaches within the NEILA.  Players were then ranked and selected by a committee, awarding seniors from all three NCAA Divisions who played their college career in the New England region. This all-star game is the only one of its kind, being a regional all-star game which includes players from Divisions I, II, and III.
