Wentworth Falls to Colby-Sawyer in Rain-Shortened Match

NEW LONDON, N.H. – The Wentworth men's tennis team battled two opponents in its match at Colby-Sawyer; the Chargers and the elements.  Both came out on top as Colby-Sawyer took a 5-1 decision before the match was halted due to heavy rain.

Nate Gove (Scarborough, Maine) and Ross Lyons (Madison, Conn.) teamed to take an 8-3 win at number two doubles, giving the Leopards their lone point.  Colby-Sawyer posted wins at number six, number two, and number five singles to give the Chargers the five points they needed to secure victory before the match was called with three matches still in progress.

The Leopards wrap up the regular season Saturday night at Anna Maria.
