Leopards Snap Losing Streak

MILTON, Mass. – Winning two of three doubles matches and four of six singles matches, the Wentworth men's tennis team defeated Curry, 6-3, and in the process qualified for the 2010 The Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Tennis Tournament.  The win snaps a three-match losing streak for the Leopards.

 

Juan Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador) and Dan Alexander (Merrimac, Mass.) teamed up to win at number one doubles, 8-2, followed by an 8-4 win from Nate Gove (Scarborough, Maine) and Ross Lyons (Madison, Conn.) at number two doubles.

 

The Leopards took home wins at number one and number two singles, with Rodriguez and Alexander winning their matches, Baltazar Jimenez (Cambridge, Mass.) won by default at number four singles, and Lyons took home a straight-set win at number five singles to round out the scoring.
