SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Student-athletes from seven different member institutions in the Commonwealth Coast Conference were represented on the 2015 All-CCC Men's Tennis Team. In addition to the all-conference team, four major award winners and the team sportsmanship award winner were also selected.
Nichols senior Brandon Roode was selected as the CCC Player of the Year. Endicott freshman Chris Kirkpatrick was tabbed CCC Rookie of the Year. Western New England's PJ Nassar was honored as the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Roger Williams' Barry Gorman was dubbed CCC Coach of the Year and Gordon College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.
Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC men's tennis coaches.
Wentworth Institute of Technology freshman Jeff Tocco (Plymouth, Mass.) earned Third Team All-CCC honors in singles play after posting a 7-3 record. Tocco played five matches at number three where he posted a 4-1 record and was 1-0 at number one and 1-1 at both number two and number four. He also played in 11 doubles matches (nine at number one and two at number two) where he won three matches.
The Leopards finished the 2014-2015 campaign with a 4-9 overall record and narrowly missed the CCC Tournament with a 2-6 record.
