Moser Picks Up CCC Field Athlete of the Week Award

BIDDEFORD, Maine – Junior Kyle Moser (Southbury, Conn.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology track and field team was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Field Athlete of the Week for the week of April 25-May 1, winning the award for the second time this season, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

Moser competed in four events for the Leopards in the CCC Championships Saturday, April 30. He took first place overall in the shot put, setting a new program record of 15.11 meters. The junior placed second in the hammer throw with a 41.93 meter throw, and set a new personal best with a 44.64 meter showing in the javelin, coming in fifth place. He took third in the discus as well, coming through with a 39.74 meter finish in the event.

Moser, along with 11 other Wentworth track and field athletes, qualified for the New England Division III Championship. The event will take place Friday, May 6 and Saturday, May 7 at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass.
