Fouron, Pierce, Sleasman Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Three members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology indoor track & field team have been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as members of the all-region team.

Freshman Fabrice Fouron (Easton, Mass.) was honored in the triple jump, senior Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine) was honored in the shot put, and junior Eli Sleasman (Albany, N.Y.) was honored in the pole vault. USTFCCCA All-Region Honors recognize the top five individuals in each event from each region, in addition to each member of the region's three relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

Fouron had an impressive start to his college career, jumping a program record 13.79M at the Wheaton Pre Post-Season Invitational on Feb. 18. He also placed seventh at the Division III New England Championships on Feb. 25.

Less than 48 hours after being selected to compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships. Pierce earns all-region honors for the third time in his career, with the other two honors coming during the outdoor seasons of 2021 and 2022. Pierce throw of 16.02M at the New England Division III Championships placed him third and was the 19th best mark in Division III nationally.

Sleasman set a program record with a vault of 4.90M at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet on March 4, besting his previous marks. His mark of 4.79M at the New England Division III Championships placed him third.
