Pierce Named CCC Field Athlete of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track & field team has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Outdoor Track Field Athlete of the Week. Pierce earns the honor for meets held between April 3 and April 9.

The senior showcased his best to-date at the Jonathan Tymann Invitational on April 8, finishing first in the shot put and discus events with program-highs in each of the two showings. His 15.64M launch in the shot put claimed him first place while his 47.41M throw in the discus earned him top honors as well.

Pierce wrapped up his day placing eighth in the hammer throw with a launch of 42.61M.
