BOSTON, Mass. – At two separate meets, two student-athletes of the Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track team earn weekly Commonwealth Coast Conference honors for their respective performances. Senior Christian Army (Pembroke, N.H.) earned Track Athlete of the Week honors for his efforts at the Tufts Sunshine Classic while classmate Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine) earned Field Athlete of the Week honors for his performance at the Sean Collier Invitational. The duo earns honors for their performances in meets through April 17-23.

Helping the men reach a sixth-place finish at the Tufts Sunshine Classic on April 22, Army placed sixth in the 110M hurdles with a time of 15.98.

Pierce took his talents to the Sean Collier Invitational at MIT on Saturday, participating in the shot put and discus events. The senior placed third in both events, firing a 15.05M launch in the shot put before throwing a 47.13M mark in the discus.

Wentworth participates next at the CCC Championship at Gordon College on Saturday, April 29.
