BOSTON, Mass. – Guiding the Leopards to a third-place finish at the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship this past weekend, senior Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology outdoor track and field team earned CCC Field Athlete of the Week honors for the second straight week and fourth time overall this season after his top-tier showing on the conference's biggest stage.

The senior picked up 28 points for the Black & Gold in the events he competed in, finishing first in both the discus (10 points) and shot put (10 points). His 15.85M throw in the shot put set a new program high as did his second-place hammer throw of 45.44M. His discus tally was 46.90M, good for first place across the conference's competitors.

Pierce and a handful of other selected student-athletes compete next at the New England Division III Championship taking place at Springfield College from May 5-6.
