Nine from Track & Field, Cross Country Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

BOSTON, Mass. – Nine members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology cross country and track and field teams have been honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) by being named to the Academic All-District Team. These teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

On the men's side, senior Christian Army (Pembroke, N.H.), sophomore Tyler Klockars (Winchendon, Mass.), senior Jared Pierce (Biddeford, Maine), sophomore Scott Stehlik (Northport, N.Y.), and sophomore Matthew Wong earned Academic All-District honors, while, on the women's side, junior Dionne Ang (Victoria, Australia) senior Jordanna Belle-Isle (Conway, N.H.), sophomore Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.), and sophomore Erin MacLean (Newton, Mass.) were honored. The nine bring the total number of the number of Academic All-District selections Wentworth has produced to 60 since 1995.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 6. In order to be eligible for Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, have a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and be a starter or a significant reserve on their team.
