Marsh Picks Up GNAC Defensive Player of the Week Award

BOSTON, Mass. – After helping the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team get off to a 4-0 start over the weekend, graduate middle hitter David Marsh earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) defensive player of the week honors. Marsh picked up the honors for the week of Jan. 17-Jan. 23.

Marsh, who led the country in blocks per set a season ago, started off the season with 10 blocks in four matches in a pair of doubleheader sweeps for the Leopards, averaging 0.91 blocks per set. In addition, he also added a pair of digs and 10 kills, to go along with a .304 hitting percentage.

Wentworth is back in action Wednesday, Jan. 26, when they host Regis College in their home opener at 7:00 p.m.
