WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior libero Phoenix Stebbins (Harrisburg, Pa.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team took home the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) defensive player of the week award, announced by the conference Monday afternoon.
Stebbins competed in one match for the Leopards this week, as Wentworth rolled to a 3-0 record overall. On Saturday, March 19 against Elms College, the senior led all players with 13 digs during the match, as Wentworth picked up a straight-set victory over the Blazers to improve to 9-1 in GNAC competition.
The Leopards return to action Tuesday, March 22, when they travel to Beverly, Mass. for a 7:00 p.m. match with Endicott College.
