LaBouliere Wins AVCA DIII Player of the Week Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore outside hitter Jacob LaBouliere (Pipersville, Pa.) was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Player of the Week Tuesday, April 12. This is the second time this season the sophomore has won the award, becoming only the second player in the country to win the honor multiple times this season.

LaBouliere helped the Leopards to a 2-0 record last week as Wentworth won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship to advance to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season. On the week, LaBouliere had 33 kills and 11 digs, including 23 kills and six digs in the Leopards' straight-set victory over Lasell University in the GNAC Final. He totaled five blocks, and a service ace as well, and hit .450 between the two games while averaging 5.5 kills per set.

The Leopards now head to Rutgers, N.J. for their first round NCAA Tournament match against St. John Fisher College. The match will take place Friday, April 15 at 6:30 p.m.
