Men’s Cross Country Runs at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country had an 18th place finish Saturday at the James Earley Invitational.

 

Wentworth had nine members run in two different 8k races Saturday. In the White Race, senior Rob Pineault (Andover, Mass.) finished in 85th place with 76 points and a time of 28:56.9. Sophomore Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) finished in 102nd place, finishing in 29:38.2 and picking up a score of 92. Graduate student Will Allen (West Hartford, Conn.) crossed the finish line in 29:49.0, earning a score of 99 and in 109th place. Freshman Christian Vallerand (Woburn, Mass.) was closely behind, finishing in 29:50.0 in 111th place and a score of 101. Sophomore William Carpenter (Salisbury, Vt.) finished with 111 points, coming in 122st place and finishing in 30:16.5. Finishing off the White Race for Wentworth with a time of 30:27.8 was junior Brendan Jeanjaquet (Weymouth, Mass.).

 

In the Blue Race, freshman Andrew Benoit (Douglas, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 31:38.3, picking up 52nd place. Classmate Robbie McCue (East Weymouth, Mass.) finished in 64th place with a time of 32:30.1. Finishing out the day for the Leopards was freshman Christian Vallerand (Woburn, Mass.), who came in 69th place and finished in 33:26.5.

 

The Leopards next event is Saturday, Oct. 16, as they run in the Suffolk Invitational in Boston.
