Men’s Cross Country Finishes 16th at Suffolk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team had a 16th place showing at the Suffolk Invitational Saturday, Oct. 16.

 

Wentworth had nine members run in the 8k Saturday, as sophomore Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) came in with the best time for Wentworth, finishing in 29:28 and 92nd place. Junior Brendan Jeanjaquet (Weymouth, Mass.) was close behind, finishing 103rd with a time of 29:58. Not far behind him was senior Rob Pineault (Andover, Mass.), who crossed the finish line in 30:15, picking up 112th place. Finishing back to back in 132nd and 133rd place were sophomore William Carpenter (Salisbury, Vt.) and freshman Christian Vallerand (Woburn, Mass.). Carpenter finished in 30:56, while Vallerand crossed in 31:04.

 

Graduate student Will Allen (West Hartford, Conn.) was the sixth Leopard to finish, coming in 150th with a time of 31:33. Finishing just moments later in 31:46 in 157th place was freshman Andrew Benoit (Douglas, Mass.). Classmate Robbie McCue (East Weymouth, Mass.) had a time of 34:46 and 193rd place, and freshman Nicholas Whitcomb (Plymouth, Mass.) finished off the day for Wentworth, coming in 199th place with a time of 35:47.

 

Next up for the Leopards is the CCC Championship, which takes place on Oct. 30 in Springfield, Mass.
