Men’s Cross Country Finishes Season at NCAA Regional Championship

BOSTON, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team completed its 2021 season Saturday morning, finishing in 27th place at the NCAA Regional Championship in Boston.

 

The Leopards had six runners in the 8k for the final meet of the season. Sophomore Jack Chausse (Newport, R.I.) had the best time on the day for Wentworth, finishing in 98th place with a time of 29:04. Senior Rob Pineault (Andover, Mass.) followed just over a minute later, finishing in 30:10 in 136th place. Shortly after, freshman Christian Vallerand (Woburn, Mass.) finished with a time of 30:25 and a 141st place finish.

 

Following him up closely was sophomore William Carpenter (Salisbury, Vt.), who came in 147th place, crossing the finish line in 30:35. Graduate student Will Allen (West Hartford, Conn.) was the fifth Leopard runner to finish, picking up a 167th place finish with a time of 31:12. Finishing things off for Wentworth was junior Brendan Jeanjaquet (Weymouth, Mass.), who turned in a time of 33:21, taking a 209th place finish.
