BIDDEFORD, Maine – Junior Kailtlin Pettenger (Budd Lake, N.J.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week honors for the week of March 7 – March 13, as announced by the league Monday afternoon.

The Leopards got off to the best start in program history, posting a 7-1 record to start the 2022 season. Pettenger played in all eight games for Wentworth, posting a .444 batting average and .531 on-base percentage. The junior recorded at least one hit in seven of eight games, collecting 12 hits total, three extra-base hits, scoring seven runs and driving in 10 RBI.

The Leopards return to the field Sunday, March 20, when they are on the road at Emerson College for a doubleheader that gets underway at 2:00 p.m.
