BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Julie Schriver (Moscow, Pa.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology softball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Schriver picks up the honor for games played from March 27-April 2.

Schriver helped the Leopards pick up a conference-opening sweep of the University of New England, allowing one run on two hits in six innings of work in a 9-1 win. In the middle innings of the contest she set down eight batters in a row.

In 11 appearances this season (eight starts), Schriver is 7-1 with one save and a 2.24 earned run average and has struck out 36 batters in 50 innings of work. Her seven wins lead the CCC.
