McLane Named CCC Rookie of the Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Following a win in their conference opener against Curry last Saturday, the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's volleyball team had yet another student-athlete honored for their respective performance across the week as freshman Kate McLane (Columbus, Ohio) took home Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week honors. The award is for games played September 18-24.

McLane began the week striking a team-high 11 kills in a defeat to Regis, tacking on a hitting percentage of .233. Three days later, the rookie had nine finishes on 19 swings, good for a hitting percentage of .368, along with ten digs.

The Leopards are 8-4 this season, 1-0 in conference play, and visit UMass Dartmouth Wednesday night.
