Women's Cross Country Competes at Pop Crowell Invitational

WENHAM, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team competed at the Pop Crowell Invitational Saturday morning in Wenham, Mass., coming in fourth place at the meet.

 

Five members of the women's team competed in the 5k.

 

Freshman Ashley Perry (Londonderry, N.H.) had the best time at the meet for the Leopards, finishing in 26:55.3, placing 15th and finishing with 15 points. Coming in 27th place with a time of 28:51.7 was junior Colleen Sullivan (East Bridgewater, Mass.), who had 18 points. Freshman Erin MacLean, (Newton, Mass.) crossed the finish line in 31:13.9 and finished 37th on the day with 24 points. Closely behind was junior Jordanna Belle-Isle (Center Conway, N.H.), who finished in 42nd with 25 points and a time of 31:54.4. Finishing in 51st place for Wentworth was freshman Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.), who had 26 points and finished in 39:05.2.

 

Next up for the Leopards is the Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass. next Saturday, Sept. 25.
