Women's Cross Country Finishes 20th at James Earley Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team returned to action Saturday, as the Leopards ran in the James Earley Invitational.

 

Six Leopards competed in the 5k.

 

Freshman Ashley Perry (Londonderry, N.H.) finished in 113th place for Wentworth, picking up 100 points and a time of 22:35.1. Junior Annabel Chu (Raynham, Mass.) came in 130th place, with a time of 23:15.1 and 113 points. Classmate Colleen Sullivan (East Bridgewater, Mass.) finished closely behind with a time of 23:30.0, picking up 116 points and finishing 135th. Freshman Erin MacLean, (Newton, Mass.) came in 145th place with 125 points and finished in 24:18.6. Finishing in 155th place with 132 points was junior Jordanna Belle-Isle (Center Conway, N.H.), who crossed the finish line in 25:04.0. Finishing out the day for the Leopards was freshman Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.), who crossed the finish line in 26:15.3 with a score of 141 and finished in 166th place.

 

Wentworth is back at it Saturday, Oct. 16 when they compete in the Suffolk Invitational at Franklin Park in Boston.
