BOSTON, Mass. – For the fourth straight meet, freshman Annie King (Wakefield, Mass.) paced the Wentworth Institute of Technology women's cross country team as the Leopards competed at the 2022 Codfish Bowl at Franklin Park.
The 5K event featured 153 runners, comprised of NCAA Division III schools, club teams and unattached runners. The Leopards finished 10th with 267 points.
King finished in 20th place, picking up 14 points for the Black & Gold after crossing the line with a time of 21:29.5. Classmate Makayla Gasper (Manchester, Iowa) finished 80th (52 points) with a time of 23:42.5. Sophomore Erin MacLean (Newton, Mass.) was right behind her with a time of 23:46.8 to finish 84th (54 points). Senior Jordanna Belle Isle (Center Conway, N.H.) picked up 71 points with her 125th place finish (25:55.8), while sophomore Megan Leger (Westminster, Mass.) was 146th (28:08.3) to score 76 points.
The Leopards compete again on Saturday, October 8, at the James Early Invitational at Westfield State.
